I am headed to the beach tomorrow and I’m super excited, as for a long time our trip to Hatteras was up in the air due to a power outage. Fortunately, we are able to go as the power has been restored.
Yesterday, I went to Costco. If you’ve ever been a fat lady buying a lot of junk food in bulk, then you will understand my pain. People were staring with judging eyes. For all they knew, I could have been buying for a large vacation with a lot of folks (like I was), vacation bible school, or a concession stand. Regardless, I got what I needed and got it loaded.
Here is the run down of what we have for the beach:
- Case of Mike’s Hard Lemonade, assorted flavors, 24 pack
- Case of vinnea sausages (not for the beach, but for my dad), 18 cans
- Case of Cheezit pouches, 45 pouches
- Package of Nabs (as we say in the south, the rest of the world says sandwich crakcers), 36 packages
- Case of 6-count individually wrapped oreos, 30 packages
- 3.75lb of dog treats (for my parents’ dog, not the beach)
- A large bottle of ready to drink margarita concotion
- 2.5lb of salted almonds
- Case of Diet Coke, 35 cans
- Case of Rice Krispy treats, 45 treats
- Case of Kashi granola bras, 35 bars
- Case of fig bars, 36 bars
- Case of variety pack snacks including ritz crackers, nutter butters, etc., 40 packages
- 1lb of dried blueberries
- Case of Lay’s chips, variety, 54 snack bags
- Case of 12oz Gatorade, variety, 28 drinks
- 20 quart party bucket for drinks
- Case of SunChips, 33 snack bags
- Case of Motts applesauce, 36 containers
I managed to get all of this in the car, with the other things I have in there like my wagon, my cooler, etc. So that part was super nice and easy. Before I can head to my parents’ to spend the night before going to the beach, I have to go to the grocery store to get guinea pig food and hit WalMart for my prescription. Their pharmacy doesn’t open until 9:00am, sadly, so I’ve got some waiting around to do.
PS–This large Costco haul came out to $202 and some change!
