I’ve written before about how hard this school year has been. Before the COVID-19 closure, there was a host of other things that just seemed to go wrong. We suffered losses, illnesses, and hard times together as a staff. With my Grammy now gone, I’m feeling the weight of all that went on this school year hard now. It’s like those days I took off for her passing allowed this school year to hit me like a ton of bricks. I’m just glad that I had time to process some of that.
Last week is our last week of school, believe it or not. Then summer begins. Or rather, some of the work begins. With collecting iPads and getting things together, I will have plenty to do in the beginning of June. I’m just ready to knock some things out so I can breathe. I know the beginning of July will be exhausting as well as we begin to think about what’s going to happen next school year. So much has the potential to change between now and then.
For now, I am trying to focus on some of the things that I can work on. My adaptive books, laminating, lego activities… my list is endless. I’m looking forward to doing some of these activities with my students, whenever we can get together again.
I need to sit down and go through some of the pictures I have. There’s a lot of things that I want and need to share. I’ve set some goals for this summer to write more and share.
