FALLING ACORNS, MIGHTY OAKS

Paprika App Review

I am a long time Paprika app user. I have always been slightly obsessed with collecting recipes and as I grew older, I’ve become a little intrigued with actually making some of these things that I’ve hoarded for so long.

Paprika’s newest app version was an instant upgrade for me. It’s on sale to the end of November, which was another reason to jump on it. I bought the iOS and the macOS versions. I took a couple of screenshots to share with you from tonight’s cooking adventure.

I love that you can cross off ingredients as you add them (this is always one of my downfalls, as I have often forgotten whether or not I had put the sugar in the cookie dough yet or not). On tonight’s menu was a meatball sub casserole, which was pretty darn good if I do say so myself. I think I could have cooked it a little longer, as it was not quite hot enough coming out of the oven. It was warm, but not piping hot.

Tonight is the Commonwealth Cup, so mama is watching her Hokies battle their archenemy, the University of Virginia. On Wednesday when I went to vacuum the den, the power to some of the outlets was killed, so there’s no TV in there. Mama is watching the TV in the playroom, which has left me to read tonight.

Let me tell you, I’ve got some good reading done over Thanksgiving break. Today’s book has been Wonder, which is a great book about a kid who has facial abnormalities. I’m going to curl up in bed with my Kindle and finish that book (or attempt to) tonight. I’m glad McHenry posted about reading it, as her facebook post motivated me to buy it from the Kindle store today.
