This spring break has me reflecting a lot on last spring break. Before spring break began, I took my last trip “back home” for my baby shower. I was “grounded” spring break week (aka too pregnant to travel) . So many flashbacks to that week I spent hanging out at home, just prepping for baby.
This spring break has began and I have a tiny little human clinging to me as she’s cutting teeth. She got four teeth back in the beginning of February and hasn’t gotten any since. She’s cutting her “vampire fangs” right now. I decided a while ago that I liked babies without teeth better than those with teeth.
Tomorrow I’m going to pack up things to start our spring break travel. I’m both dreading it (because of the packing) and excited for my spring break excursions. I’m heading back home to spend some time with family, visiting with Nichole from college, and trying to squeeze in all the things before I return home on Easter Sunday. I was surprised that Charlie’s vet is open Easter Monday, but they are so I booked him an appointment for his annual check up. Since I’m off that day I figured it would be as good as any to get it done and over with.
For now, I’m going to keep enjoying the peace and quiet as she is asleep in her bed. A little TV before bed for mama with no alarm clock but my little… life is good and I’m embracing spring break sleep (or so I am hoping for).
