It’s been an interesting couple of years. Sometimes it feels as if time has flown and other times it feels as if it has dragged on and on.
I’m forever thankful that I’ve had such awesome friends. I’m far away from them all, but I never imagined that I’d end up with four of the best girl friends anyone could ever ask for.
One day I hope to get them all in the same place. I might have to get married, have a baby, or die first but
It’s amazing where we are at in life. Ashley S. is out there killing it as a social worker. She’s living out her love story (which I have to admit, I’m jealous of her for) and she’s right where she needs to be. Ashley D. starts a new job. She was the first (and still the only one!) to give me a mini best friend, who I am so thankful that I’ve been able to watch grow up (even if it is from afar). Nichole is also at a new job, as am I. It’s interesting to see that we have all ended up in career paths where we are helping shape the world around us.
I guess I shouldn’t have expected any less because these women have shaped the world around me. I can’t imagine where I’d be without the four of them. Each one has come into my life at different times. There are some commonalities, but they are also all very different. At the end of the day, they all have my back–but I certainly have a preference for who I run to first about certain issues!

Life will always be hard and we are always riding the sea of change. Here’s to us all living our best lives as we embark on new adventures and get older.
