FALLING ACORNS, MIGHTY OAKS

The Best Friend [A Book Review] & Kindle Oasis

I just finished The Best Friend, which was a very stereotypical teen romance novel with some twists.  While the book was good, I found myself frustrated with the characters and the ending of the work.  I also read the bonus chapter that was promoted at the end of the Kindle book, which left me wanting more to their story.  The ending of this work was also a cliffhanger,  so that left me frustrated.

I read the book on my new Kindle Oasis, which I just got yesterday.  It finally came in the mail and boy was I hype about it.  I’m looking forward to reading more and reminding myself of why I want to be a librarian in the first place.  I’ve checked out a few books from the local library and I have gotten in line to read a few more.  I hate that the wait lists are so long there.  I also often get in line, then have all of the books come to me at once and it’s more than I can read at the moment.  I’m hoping to get some good reading done over my Christmas break from school, then from my Christmas break from work.

There’s some bubbles in my screen protector, but I love this thing already! I’m reading a book about the Ku Klux Klan right now that’s a YA nonfiction piece. So far, it’s been very good!

I also am in love with the cover I got for the Kindle.  I think it looks pretty awesome.

I’m big into trees sometimes, so this appropriate as I’m currently in a tree of life obsession phase.

I can’t wait to share more about what I’m reading on the blog.  I also hope to get some good crafting done this weekend, so we shall see what I manage to get myself into.  🙂
