I needed somewhere to collect my thoughts on the gym. I’ve been doing Beach Body (not religiously as you know), I have been traveling for work, and I just haven’t been in the gym.
They’ve changed names and moved recently. I have been to the new location twice. The first time, I was anxious because the cardio room wasn’t ready yet. I ventured into the weight room and was like WOAHHH.
The machines in there are advanced. They are not for the casual gym user. The stuff in there is serious… I thought okay, let me give it another chance and try out the cardio room when it opens.
I ventured in today.
The cardio room is so much smaller than the old gym. I’m also struggling because I’m missing the women’s only room.
I don’t know… I’m starting to question if this is the right place for me. I spent the entire four miles on the elliptical wondering if I had made the right choice.
I’m going to give it a few more goes, but if I don’t find myself happy there I might cancel. I despise canceling things, mainly because it is an awkward conversation. I don’t want to get “stuck” going there because I’m avoiding the awkward conversation. I also don’t wanna get sucked into the rut of not using it because I feel awkward.
It just doesn’t feel like a place for someone who is interested in working out casually. I know their new emphasis is body building, which just ain’t my cup of tea.
I feel like I need a gym membership to get me out the house. I don’t know…
